Tim, can I ask if you were the one who came up with the notion of this 'trend'?
The concepts you put forward have been practised since the beginning of time.
The quiet, humble and unassuming life is not a trend. It is a way of life millions live, without the notoriety of Warren Buffet, Emma Watson and Albert Einstein.
They are our mothers, fathers, siblings and friends.
And those who live such a life with purity would never adopt such a lifestyle because it is on trend. They do it because it is who they are, and they feel no need to interfere.
That's the problem with personal development. It functions on noise and trends.
And agenda.
Perhaps the next trend will be people having to make noise by filling their blogs and social media feeds with inspiration on 'how to be quiet and humble!' And again something beautiful and pure will become something to announce to the world, or a trend to follow, or an opportunity to take.
Written noise is one of the loudest and most ugly.
Can we expect to 'hear' less from you?
Will you 'be the peaceful quietness you wish to see more of in the world'?
You see being quiet and humble is not an opportunity. It's an act of service in a broken world. It's called being. It's why a guy like Jesus didn't force his help on the world. He didn't think anyone needed fixing, or needed to be better.
And he didn't need to be the one to help or inspire another.
It is no coincidence that humanity collapsed at a time when we had never been more educated on how to live. All noise, and for the most part, the cheap energetic expression of people claiming authority for ideas and concepts that did not originate from them. Or said for the millionth time.
Any expression sourced in the self-promotion of the author is harmful to our world. No matter how it is perceived by one's followers. We cannot alter what something is with clever words.
In our world content is not king. It is a killer. But before it kills us all, the next death will be that of the influencer. For they are the ones making the most noise!
I mean no disrespect to anyone but thought I would share my thoughts. Ironically, making noise where normally I would remain quiet.
With love and respect. Tim
